I can tell the park is currently going through some renovations, it looks like they will be putting in sewer at each site in the near future, perhaps it will improve over time.

There are just a few RV campgrounds between the Virginia/North Carolina border and the Christiansburg VA, let alone a campground with low rates for an overnight stay. Sportman RV park isn't a destination spot and in my opinion is a little pricey for a 1 night stay. Rate is $30/night but with our passport America RV member card was $16.25 for back in site. It's pretty small RV park and a little tricky to make turns if you have a large coach. Sites are pretty close to each other, only a small patch of grass separates you from your neighbor. One of the trailers 1 space after us decided to blast their music in the evening and shut it off at 11:30 pm, so annoying. Some of the sites are by the river which seem to have gravel however most other sites are on dirt and when it rains it's pretty muddy everywhere.

It's a nice place for time to yourself, family, or friends. You can camp, fish, kayak/canoe, or picnic. Just to name a few of the things you can do. Sometimes I like to watch the fish jump and ducks swim while I read a book and munch on food from sportsman. Which is mostly really good food, if my cousin, Cindy, cooks it for you. The other cooks may be fine, I just only get food when Cindy is cooking. I give this fine stars because it helps me start a day with a feeling of peace.

Water and electric were good but no sewer on our site, there is a dump station in the back of RV campground. Bathhouse was open, women's section has 2 toilet stalls and 1 shower. Definitely needs a little cleaning but water was nice and hot and good pressure.

Excellent and reasonably priced RV park right on the river. For someone who likes to fish, this place is awesome. I would have given it five stars, but it is very close to the highway.

Great place to get fishing stuff and fish. Pretty view.

The staff was very nice and their store/restaurant was nicely stocked. We ordered lunch and breakfast from their little diner and honestly it was pretty good and priced well.

I probably wouldn't stay here again but I'm glad we tried it out at least.

Used to get steak sub and it was excellent but last few times it was very greasy and soggy. Peppers and onions so over cooked they had no flavor. And barely any cheese on the last one.
