Bottom line, we were hoping for an apology, or bring your cat in and ‘I’ will personally see your cat, and we would have done that, but since he was ‘defensive’ and ‘unapologetic’ we’re not going back to Riverside Veterinary.

Very poor customer service. My wife and I brought our cat to Riverside Veterinary for a 1:30 appointment. After waiting over an hour with no updates, we finally had to walk out.

I had taken mt pet there befor and was pleased with the care until December 24, 2016. I took my pet for grooming and he was given a full body shave, unexplained to me. Dr magyar was out of town as dr crawford found a mass under the tongue. Her reply was "she doesnt know if its cancerous" after authorization for an in-house test for additional charges she still didnt give a satisfactory answer, a rabbies vaccine was also given. December 27, 2016 dr magyar removed a tumor. Dr magyar talked her way around the groomers action & dr crawfords actions. Prognosis was the oral squamos cell carcinoma tumor would recur. An agreement with dr magyar was for home euthinasia when it was time as dr magyar said she had vets at her emmploy if she couldnt do the procedure, NO EXCUSE OR REASON IS ACCEPTABLE. April 10, 2017 at 7:34am was the day, she replied and said "she wasnt at work yet and would let me know her schedule. 5 phone calls later i was almost forced at 3pm to have myself & my cat driven to the nearest vet. Dr magyar did not arrive until 3:38pm to put my cat, 1 of her many patients to sleep that she knew was terminally ill. She let me down in our agreement and did not give him respect of being a priority. I dont know if i will take another pet there again. I will NOT ever trust magyar with the dutie of home euthinasia again!

Sarah at pet bereavement support service suggested i write this to let dr magyar know how i feel. If i could give 0 stars i would.

We called the owner, Dr. Clifford Potter, to tell him of our experience hoping to get an apology so we could give them a second chance. However, the doctor never apologized but told me “You didn’t get the ‘right’ impression of Dr. Brown “. No, we did not. Rather than apologizing for the wait and lack of respect he went on to say “If you don’t want to wait, you should ‘drop your cat off’ or make an appointment when we’re not so busy.” Busy? There was only one other patient the whole time we were there! We understand that there are reasons appointments get behind but keeping waiting patients informed and showing respect for ‘their’ time is customer service 101.

We've gotten both of our F2 labradoodles from Riverside. They are simply wonderful to work with.

After waiting 20 minutes past the 1:30 appointment time and receiving no updates on when we would be seeing Dr. Karen Brown we asked the receptionist for a status update. She went and checked with the Dr. and told us it would be just a couple of minutes. Yet, 15 more minutes went by, still no Dr. Then the Dr. came out to the waiting room to talk with a patient (while standing just 3 feet in front of us) and talked with him for another 10 minutes never once even acknowledging us or explaining when she might see us. She then disappeared again and we were finally taken into the exam room where we were told “The Dr. will be right with you”. But no, we waited and waited and after waiting now over an hour all the while we could hear the Dr., the patient, and the receptionist talking and laughing very casually right outside our door even though we’re now over an hour late. So we took our cat and left. As we walked by the Dr., standing at the reception desk, we said “An hour is too long to wait so we’re leaving”, she simply stared at us without saying a word as we left.

I have had Lucy (My Cat) for 2 and a half years. Never once when i took her to the vet back in my hometown did she get this stressed out. The vet had to get backup to pin my cat while they did her exam, again i have never seen my cat so stressed to the point where one vet couldn't handle her (Mind you my cat only weighs 5.9lbs). My appointment was at 3, i got there 10 minutes early and was not taken back until around 3:30ish. It took over an hour just to get my cat one booster shot. Finally left at 4. I do not recommend, nor do i think i will be returning.

My goofy Boxer baby loves this place! Only time I have seen her happy to go to the vet!
